LO 7.2.5.2 from repositories on Xubuntu 21.10

I hate having toolbars at the top of the screen because I want as
much vertical space as possible for text documents. For some reason
every time I open a new text document the Standard toolbar pops up. I
have customized the Formatting and Style toolbars and have them
floating off the document, so the Standard toolbar is unnecessary and
superfluous. I can remove it with View > Toolbars, but it would be much
better if I could stop it from automatically popping up. In fact, I'd
prefer to just nuke this toolbar completely. How can I do this?
