@Kevin,

Glad you got it sorted, not the first time I've forgotten to ask about any changes in AntiMalware
posture.

Some AV solutions are more agressive than others at "monitoring" and "preventing" changes. Last
major go round was with the offerings from Avast AVG, guess the Internet Security 360 goes into
that same category.

thanks, OK I have a new av program internet security 360 once I stopped
it running from task manager the install went fine. I tried just
switching off the real protection but it still wouldn't install! so it
looks like for now if I want to update I have to switch it off. I only
found this out because I ran both installers with defender, on another
machine it worked I have not had any problems installing for a long time
now. but because there snaps I assumed maybe there was a new problem
but for now I have got it working. on the other machine with defender it
just worked without any problems. I didn't see any prompt from the av
program to let the program threw it just didn't install, but as soon as
I closed all the processes down to do with this av program it ran the
installers and installed. anyway sorted for now trying to contact them
later and let them know that the av prog doesn't seem to lie lo or ooo
for now.
