I have read many threads in the website mailing list, and I must say that I have found many areas where the discussion has gone in the wrong direction. For instance, the "23 roles" were assuming that the web site would become the entry point for the community, which is something that cannot happen as every individual has the right to choose his preferred way of interacting with the project (and this has always happened). For instance, if I had to go through a web site to discover my way into the community I would have never been a OOo advocate. Assuming that this was the right development direction has been a mistake.
