 Hi,

The organization of the toolbars and menues is just one possible way.

In general, it works good for me as it is, though I have been working on some minor minor enhancements (on a pixel level) that could make the gui look alittle more 2010. I am going to summarize it in a pdf and would be happy to share.

+1. I hate everything about the MS GUI. It adds nothing as far as I
can see. The current OOo GUI is fine. There's no need to fix
something that isn't broken, just to make it look sexy. What I want
from LibreOffice is a quick, easy, usable office suite that just
works. If we try to emulate MS we just look like "me too."

Lane& I can't be the only ones who feel this way.

If we try to make a cool sexy UI, then please, please, retain the
option to keep the UI that works.

Just my thoughts.

Thanks

what do you don't like about our GUI?
I like the present GUI just fine, and I hate the new MS GUI. I
particularly
like the ease with which the toolbars can be customized, because
the default
selection of tools is much different from the one I use.

It would be nice if someone would create some more tool icons for those menu items currently without icons. I always include Column Break and Page Break on a toolbar, and I have to select from the unassigned icons, none of which
are just right.

It might be good if, when a person runs LO the first time that a document be loaded which has some basic instruction for customizing the toolbars. It
should also include direction to both Tools / Options and Tools /
AutoCorrect Options for setting personal preferences.

I'd far rather have an application that is stable, easy to use (without all the current seemingly unnecessary contortions one has to go through to get page styles, and bullets and watermarks, etc.), and works well rather than have a fancy (at least in some people's opinion) GUI that serves only to mimic MSOffice.

FWIW, I'd be glad to take a look. Post a URL when ready.

Cheers
