Ubuntu12.04＋LibreOffice 4.1.5（libreoffice.orgからダウンロードしたもの）
この環境ではフリーズすることなく動作しました。
同じLinuxのUbuntuで動作しているという事なので、
ディストロのパッケージに問題があるのか、
私の環境特有の問題なのか
に絞る事ができて、大変助かりました。
上記の2パターンで調べて見ようと思います。
