Hi Ron, all,

sorry for not being able to reply earlier, but my spare time is too short to read several hundred mails and reply only to the most important of them every day.

I hope for some better time, when the structures here in the community have been defined and settled a bit.

Thanks for the feedback, Bernhard. Very reasonable.

Thank you for this design.

I like it much better :-)

Just four points I want to mention still:

- The phrase below the slogan "Liberate Your Life!" is nearly unreadable for me: I think it's to much information in these two lines. "Free Power-Packed Open Source Personal Productivity Suite for Windows, Macintosh and Linux"

- This phrase seems to be picked under the green slogan with less space than between the lines of the phrase.

- The phrase is written in bold letters, giving the right part of the banner more weight than the logo on the left side. Did you try to use a regular font? (And reading Nik's comment, reducing the size of all written content in favor of a more graphically based design might work even better)

- The shading of the banner is very much different from our new icons and the rest of our branding. We don't have such shiny rounded borders. Even if I like the touchy impression, I think we should take the chance to provide our design and branding language with all our artwork.

Please don't feel criticized - I like your work!

But what I'd like to achieve is consistency in all the artwork we provide as officially approved resources of our community.

In my opinion this will become true, if we can work collaboratively on the same basis.

Someone (Nik? / Ivan?) already mentioned one additional graphical means we used in the icons. Perhaps we could reuse it here too and define it as part of our Branding identity: inner shadows.

If I find the mail I read, I'll reply there...

Best regards

Bernhard
