Hi Tim,

Tim L. is the name,
living in Elmira New York, USA [summer home for Mark Twain]

Didn't mean to visit you – it's just always nice to know who you're
speaking to or at least have someone to address your mail to. :)

I used the logo design from the web site. Yes, I love the green, but
since the new 4.0 book[s] use the black half circle design, I used the
same theme that is expected.

Sure. I personally don't love the old green, but ... you shouldn't use
one of the new greens for the logo on top an older green within the
text. They are not very compatible.
You can keep using the half circle, but maybe either remove all colour
from the logo (as I think our branding guidelines would actually want it
[1]) or just replace the current green with a green from the palette.

The black on the top of each page is a design "theme" that has been used
before to keep all of the panels starting off with the same "display"
for the "product". I would love to have each panel as its own
information that does not spill over to any other ones, but that does
not work for this information.

Right, so keep that everywhere else, but please do remove it from the
cover panel. It really does not work there.

As for having different information on every panel: the way the layout
is currently is fine with me, all I said was that the tildas weren't so
cool.

The wording of the "Fantastic Community" was part of a different
marketing slogan that I was told should be there. I have been working
with Marc Pare with the wording changes from a 3.3.x era brochure.

I didn't object to "Fantastic Community". In fact, "Free Office
Suite/Fun Project/Fantastic People" I think is a great slogan, because
it so accurately describes what drew me here in the first place.
What I objected to was seeing the word "community" twice in ~5 words.

Astron.
