Yes, I think it will be good for us all to have a good talk, and look
at everyone's ideas. I am absolutely certain that, if we all
contribute a little flexibility and open-mindedness, we are going to
find new ways to approach and handle certain things. I am also sure
that we are *all* going to come out of this wiser than before, and
that the end result is going to be a success: a bigger team, united in
a brooad consensus, doing productive work to promote a project we all
care about.

I think so, too. I can tell you that, speaking for myself, I have been
brought to change my perceptions about certain things. Changing my
mindset helped me find answers to problems - both problems that were
real, and things that were only really perceived problems.

I see that a lot of people plan to be there at the confcall next week,
which is perfect. I think it's going to be an interesting and
productive discussion.

There were a few things that Michael Meeks said in a recent thread
that are worth thinking about in the meantime:

"So, first - I think it is worth saying that conflict is normal; -and-
it is particularly normal in teams that are just changed / formed. A
so-called "Forming / Storming / Norming / Performing" phase change :-)
it would be nice to skip stage two, and three - and jump to stage four -
but its not going to happen.

So - what do we do ? in stage two we have to bear with each other, not
burn bridges, communicate clearly (preferably not by e-mail - which is
no way to resolve conflict), and there is some level of learning and
teeth gritting by all required."

I think there's a lot of sense in what he wrote.

Meanwhile, before the confcall, there's quite a bit of work we could
usefully get started on as regards the current content on the
libreoffice.org site, which it would be great to get done before the
3.3 release, and I'm going to go fire up a fresh thread and post about
that. :-)
