No, that is not true. It is implemented with the OpenCl standard, so everyone has a benefit :) --> AMD's APUs are better optimized for such kind of computing ;)
If the optimizations only work on AMD powered PCs it will be impossible for me to take advantage of it (to be honest I don't have or know anyone who has an AMD based PC...)
