You need to have entered some information in the User Data section under Tools>Options>LibreOffice>User Data. Only a first name is sufficient but the form can not be completely blank.

Also check the box labeled "Enable experimental (unstable) features" under Tools>Options>LibreOffice>General

In openoffice, if I saved a document, when I next opened it, the cursor was automatically positioned where it was when I left off. This doesn't seem to be happening in libreoffice, as the cursor is always at the top of the document, meaning one has to remember some other way "where I was up to". I can't find any option to turn this invaluable feature back on.

Is this a design decision, an oversight, or am I missing an option somewhere?
