...and next time you might want to use dpkg -iR ..../DEBS from the 
immediately superior directory to the DEBS one. From direct experience I 
know it installs LO correctly with Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu and my 
personal preference, Lubuntu. ;-)
