Hi :)
Ahh, i kinda agree with Andreas on this one.

It is probably going to be better for you to stick with Microsoft products
entirely. I think there are deals where you can install MS Office on
several machines. If you are only using Writer/Word then you might be
happy with MS's "Student bundle" which you might cost very little.

If you buy MS Office 365 then you can use it on any machine as it works
inside the web-browser. Google-docs does much the same, and it's free, but
i think you might need to stay with MS.

If you are ever ready to move away from Microsoft there is a huge range of
programs that actually are compatible with each other and don't have such
gaping security flaws. Microsoft puts a lot of effort into talking about
these things but the rest of us put that time into just doing it rather
than making empty promises.

Microsoft carefully makes sure it "doesn't play well with others", and then
blames the others.

I'm guessing that you use Windows Server 2008 (not 2007). If it's Server
2003 then it's no longer supported and has known security issues. Server
functionality does not really help make it better as a desktop machine.
Normal Desktop OSes can easily share files on a network and link to other
machines.

Sorry!
Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

unable to edit the flowchart, even though LibreOffice Writer provides the
user control.

I am using two PCs:
One has Microsoft Windows 8 and Microsoft Office 2007 Professional
One has Microsoft Windows Server 2007 SP2 and runs LibreOffice 5.0.2.2.

I edited it with both Microsoft Word 2007 and LibreOffice Writer.
