Yes it would raise the bar for many of our nl webmasters for which we are still trying to get to add some more up-to-date information.

SilverStripe has the ability to store images, and, if you are familiar enough with SS, it is just a matter of getting used to moving around the SS image repository. It is actually quite centralized.

In fact, if you look at most of the "4.0 Features and Fixes" webpages, you will find that even if they have been translated into their own particular native languages, they are making use of the EN image repository for their screenshots until they can get their own nl teams to do their owns screenshots.

AFAIC, the SS repository is fine and there is no need to ramp up the learning curve by using a GIT repository. Let's concentrate on learning how to use SS and using its own repository method.
