Hi,

Italo asked on the discuss list if we could supply a statement regarding
our presence at SCALE, which he will send to a few media outlets in the
US.

Anyone like to start this off with a few thoughts on what to say?

Thanks

Drew

Dear Community,

We're happy to announce that LibreOffice and The Document Foundation
will be at this year's SCALE 9x in Long Beach, February 25th - 27th. We
will have a booth, with opportunities to meet and discuss LibreOffice
and The Document Foundation.

Hi Jeff,

thanks for that - Italo is planning on sending this to, I believe, main
stream media and I'm not quite sure that fits well for the target - but
it is a good start. I've got a couple of time critical issues on the
plate right now so sorry for asking this - but is there any chance you
could try re-wording that from this other perspective -

i.e.:

The Document Foundation is pleased to announce their participation at
this years Southern California Linux Festival (SCALE), Feb 25th - 27th
in Long Beach, CA. Representatives (given all the words that have been
put on the mailing lists from the SC on this subject that I'm not sure
we can call ourselves that...damn it!!! [I suppose saying Jeff and Drew
here is out] :-) I'll let you try to walk through that mine field) will
be showing the Foundation's office productivity suite of applications,
LibreOffice 3.3, for the first time in the United States. (see now don't
you feel special..)

LibreOffie is ...blah, blah, blah

The team (oh that might work above..just call us reps of the LibreOffie
team) will be in Booth #?.

[I think drop the part about the paper plane]

Information on the Document Foundation can be found at .....

------------

Well, that might not be much help sorry - I'll get to the other emails
now and then try to get back to this later tonight, but if you get this
before and want to try your hand - please, do.

Thanks again

drew
