Hi,

Sorry I leave it long time...
I already lost a timing to add translation of Logo command because we
already have RC1, but if I still have a chance, please forgive me few
question.

# Of course if it's too late for us, I can wait 4.1, next major release.

Summary:

I want to add "magic" icon translation feature from Japanese to English,
so I tried with RC1, but seems not to work well.
Please make sure I made mistake or it's a software bug.

Many thanks for your work and mail. Hardcoding language codes is only
required for the optional translation of the Japanese language Logo commands
to their English equivalents (“magic” icon on the Logo toolbar). Only
English to Japanese translation works now, but I will set Japanese language
guessing, too.

Yes, in my understanding LibreLogo will be used mostly for educational
situation, especially elementary schools.
If so, elementary school students don't learn English, and below 10 years,
they also don't learn alphabet, that's why I believe we need "magic" icon
translation from Japanese to Logo English command to help both of students
and teachers.

And thanks for your comment,

Let me change the order:

2) Can we check our translation result locally without self-build?
I mean, can we check our translation by modification several files?

Yes, it is enough to copy the properties file to the LibreLogo directory of
the LibreOffice installation in unicode-escape Unicode encoding. (snip)

It works totally well. Thanks!

1) Can we use UNICODE string as commands such as "すすむ"
   (means forward)?

Yes, you can. LibreLogo uses the Unicode database of the CPython
distribution to recognize the letters/word boundaries, so I believe, it has
to be work with Japanese, too.

I tried with RC1, and it seems work well, but not complete.

In English UI, I wrote following:
---------------
Forward
fd
back
bk
pu
penup
---------------
and click "magic",
---------------
FORWARD
FORWARD
BACK
BACK
PENUP
PENUP
---------------
Awesome. But in Japanese, I just modified
/opt/libreoffice4.0/share/Scripts/python/LibreLogo/LibreLogo.py
to support Japanese magic translation, and tried:
---------------
前進
fd
後退
bk
ペンをあげる
pu
---------------
but result was:
---------------
前進
fd
後退
bk
ペンをあげる
pu
---------------
However, I tried Japanese only
---------------
前進
後退
ペンをあげる
---------------
it works!
---------------
FORWARD
BACK
PENUP
---------------
It seems mixed language (non-alphabet and alphabet) doesn't work.
Is it right result? Or my mistake?

Thanks,
