avoid the very dark look and the need to adapt the symbolism as well
(color wise).

If the color switch works for small icons too (didn't try yet), this
would be a good approach to include most of the comments, so I'd use it
even for the first final version.

Sorry, Bjï¿œrn, but inversion would mean to manually modify most of the
gradients, so I think we should leave this way to further improvements.

I totaly agree with the proposed solution. I like it!
