Hi :)
You might have more success re-posting this question to the Users list or oddly
the marketing team have been off-topic in that sort of direction a bit
sometimes.
Regards from
Tom :)

Subject: [libreoffice-accessibility] Libreoffice, screen reader, Windows

Hi,

My point of starting is: while Libreoffice is accessible all right with
the screen reader Orca with GNU/Linux, it's absolutely not usable with
NVDA on Windows. The problem: it makes loose the credibility of the free
software, which is installed in public administrations, and problematic
for blind people.

So I would like us to work very much about this, with testers, and
developpers which are mandatory. During Libre Software Meeting, I was
told that IBM had written a module to make OOo accessible. If I
understand, its name is "Iaccessible2". Really?

If it is right, it seemed it was given to Oracle. Now the question is:
where's this code? In Apache foundation? Oracle? or could Libreoffice
ship this in the fork? Can we fetch it from Apache if it's there and
what are license conditions (I don't know Apache License)? Is it
implemented?

If it is not, who can I contact to find this code and allow to integrate
it in LibreOffice? If it is, could you help me for identifiation, so
that I see with NVDA what's possible?

I read today Rob Weir who seems to say that this code is in OOo from
Apache, and in Symphony too. Can you tell me if we can find it there so
and ship it on Libreoffice?

Thanks for your answer.

Regards,

Jean-Philippe MENGUAL
