I agree with Andrew. I have faced this 'issue' too. In my case, this happens when I am moving back and forth between my laptop and desktop. My desktop has a 24 inch monitor and when I am working on a document, I zoom in to about 150% there. When I want to work on the same document on my laptop that has a samller screen, LibO remembers (rightfully so) that the zoom level for the document is 150% but left aligns the page showing empty margins while center aligning the page would still be able to display the contents properly.

I hope someone could shed light on this behavior - is this an expected one? a designed feature, or a bug that needs fixing?

Thanks,
Vamsi.

well I can kinda see how some one could use it but I just wanted to talk
about the centering mostly. like I said it is stupid.

why does LibreOffice writer even have a 600% zoom. I don't see a reason
to
have more than 200% to 300% zoom. I can see it in an art program like
draw,
GIMP, inkscape but not a word processor. why does this not center, I like
to
keep it at 145% so that it is the biggest size that it can be and I can
still see the hole page left to right.
You probably don't need that big a zoom, but at least I do need it when
I'm hacking on some Writer painting code to check that things are
properly aligned and displayed.
