On the "View" menu, click "Status Bar" and the status bar should appear 
at the bottom of the window. You can do the same again if you want to 
hide it again later.

Alternatively, if I've understood the original problem correctly, you 
might be able to sort out the page view without needing the status 
bar... On the "View" menu, click "Zoom", then "100%" or "Entire Page" 
(or whatever setting suits you). The icons on the status bar are a quick 
way of accessing those features, so it may still be useful to unhide it.

LibreOffice is free software, with free support mainly provided for 
users by users via this mailing list. I believe there are companies 
which offer paid support for LibreOffice, presumably some with phone 
numbers, but I don't know specific details. Hopefully someone else on 
this list might be able to reply pointing you in the right direction.
