No - there was no hyphenation - although I was trying to find that option to test that hypothesis. Seems like a screwy place to put it, as Writer's hyphenation is in Format->Paragraph->Text Flow.

Hi :)
Is this something to do with hyphenation? Is there a - sign in the broken word?

Tools - Options - "Language Settings" - "Writing Aids"

Then in the bottom of the 3 sections scroll right down to the end? Untick both?

Tom :)
