What do you mean? Yes, you probably have missed all the work that is
going on behind the curtains to improve the experience :-)

But that is stuff where noone from the broad community could have
helped, where input from the community would have been necessary.

Or do you mean the creation of the moderators list? Then yes, this was
discussed briefly, don't remember where exactly, but it has been
mentioned a couple of times.

Well it is a "should" - and as the alias
moderators@documentfoundation.org is unusually long, it exceeds that
limit.  libreoffice.org is shorter than documentfoundation.org, so
that makes stuff easier for most of the lists :-)

It is better to have longer lines than having it wrapped like<break/>
this.

(i.e. wrap the line and push one word on the next one just to match
the character limit)

But try to keep the lines are wrapped in online archives, in the
user's mailclient, etc.

Keep it short. 80 characters is the standard here. 100 characters
seems very much, but if you think it is necessary...
