Don't you see how absurd it is to need to BUY a compiler to compile a FREE
program?
If that were the case, I might, but it isn't. You can compile the Windows version of OOo/LO using the free (as in beer) compiler VC++ 2008 Express. See http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/Building_Guide/Building_on_Windows

No absurdity involved.
