[libreoffice-marketing] Re: Engaging Users?

And I should add that it'll be active until the next weekend.

Best,

Charles.

Hello everyone,

The survey has just been activated. Please let me know if you'd like to
access the admin panel in order to translate it in your language.

The survey can be reached at this URL:
https://survey.documentfoundation.org/index.php/574531/lang-en

Best,

I'd like to translate into spanish

Done for you and Cor. You should receive a system message with your

Best,

You mean at the end of the survey? (I checked it but found no issue..)

Thanks,

Charles.

Me in Dutch!

So the results are obviously coming in, but I think I found what the
problem was: bad end URL. It should now redirect to
www.libreoffice.org

If anybody wants to try...

best,

Charles..

Hi Charles,

1) Comment No. 1:
testing the survey on end respectively after answering the last question the link to the next URL is causing an Error 404 (on my system).

2) Comment No. 2:
Good survey.

3) Localisation:
How is your idea concerning thelocalisation: access the admin panel and localisation there?

Hello Jochen,

Hi Charles,

testing the survey on end respectively after answering the last
question the link to the next URL is causing an Error 404 (on my
system).

That should be fixed by now. In any case your results were registered.

2) Comment No. 2:
Good survey.

Thanks!

Yes. Are you volunteering for German?

Best,

Charles.

localisation there?

About localization, there might be something wrong Charles, because
loging as admin I can't see any survey in the drop down Surveys list,
there is nothing to chose. Could you check that we have the right on
this survey? That's some time that I didn't use LimeSurvey but I seem to
remember that localization is done from the survey already registered
and is possible even if the survey activated.

Cheers

I'll check however it's fair to say that it happened to me as well the
first time  the interface is unclear. What happens when you click
the first list option on the top right of the screen?

Best

There is the drop down list 'Chose a survey' which contains nothing,
Detail list of surveys icon doesn't contain anything and the
Create/Edit/Copy either for me.
In the help, about translation, it's said :
In "survey permissions" for your survey, select each desired user and
give him/her the user rights for "quick translation".
I'll continue to read the help and see if I find something

I'll see what I can do but keep in mind I don't have all the rights
myself on it so we may end up asking infra.

I'll let you know.

Charles.

We'll send you an access to the admin panel.

best,

Charles.

BTW, due to popular demand, the option "I already contribute to
LibreOffice" has been added to the second question.

best,

Charles.

Yes, I understand, let's see what we can do and ask infra otherwise

Hi,

can we please move this topic solely to the marketing list? The projects list is for important topics amongst the projects, and everyone subscribed to it now has a pretty cluttered inbox...

Thanks,
Florian

Either you go through an automated process implying that LimeSurvey was
installed and configured with several l10n packages from the onset and
I don't think that's the case; or you would need access to the survey,
replicate it, and localize the text and answers. Right now the second
option looks like the only choice, but the fact that no one else but
me and Zeki have access to it is odd. I really don't see how to include
you on this however, the dirty way for me would be to post the xml dump
of the survey somewhere so that you get it and base your translation it
. Once on LimeSurvey you would open a new survey and import the xml.

What do you think?

It actually took me time to accept that in this case only, Users =
Administrators in LimeSurvey. Otherwise they are separated and are
clearly described as not being the same. hrmpf.

I've added permissions to you and the others on the survey. Can you
check?

Best,

Charles.
