Hi,

sorry, I lost the original thread - but to keep you updated:

To finally start accepting BitCoins, I just signed up with a service
provider. I need to wait for details on payment and conditions, but
one rather trustworthy German nonprofit uses them as well, so I'll
have a look. :-)

You might not want to use Bit Coins much for USA users.

There was an article in the USA that stated that the government was
investigating this service for some type of currency fraud. It was a
few months ago and I do not know what it was all about, but after that I
had not seen any "advertisements" about using Bit Coins anymore.

It could be OK now, but here in the USA there are a lot of regulations.
They have even ordered the credit card companies not to allow payments
to certain catagories of non-USA hosted web sites and services. Maybe
they just do not like to have a type of currency that they cannot control.

To be honest, any way you can legally collect donations to support TDF
and LO is good for me. I just let PayPal worry about dealing with the
transaction for most of my online purchases and donations.
