Lol, i am sure we have all done similar things.  I am just impressed that Andreas spots these 
things despite also being good with complicated answers.

You are totally right about the invisible PRINT dialog: because I have 2 monitors (the 2nd one not 
being on all the time) the PRINT dialog was indeed opening in the 2nd monitor which was not turned 
on at the time. I have now placed the dialog on the main monitor.
So Thank you ,Andreas, and  Tom , very much for pointing out that possibility (and how to resolve 
it) which turned out to be right and  for taking the time to reply.Now I shall just write a 100 
times :" I will always check my second monitor"
