I have a spreadsheet with about 30 tabs (sheets). I want to re-arrange these. Is there a way to display the list and sort them as I wish without having to drag each sheet to a new position?

Sort of. Go to Edit | Sheet > | Move/Copy... (or right-click the sheet tab and select Move/Copy Sheet...). But you can move only one sheet at a time there.

Is your problem with dragging that you cannot see all thirty (no doubt meaningfully labelled) sheet tabs at the same time? Note that you can drag the separator between the tab display and the horizontal scroll bar to make more room for the former - perhaps temporarily. When you can see all thirty tabs at once, dragging may seem more attractive.

I trust this helps.
