LO v4.1, xubuntu v12.04
I have a 1000-2000 line spreadsheet with half of the cells with formulas. When I, say, delete 30 lines, it takes about 45 seconds. The problem is that I have no idea if it is still a work in progress, or its done. A simple indicator (flashing colored circle, etc.) to show that it is still working, and has not gone to sleep, or a signal to tell me that I can continue, would be nice.

A few years ago, this would not have been necessary, as the drives were noisy, and you could hear them thrashing; there was a visible HD head seek light, but these are technical things that have been removed from computers. like reset buttons.
