No. I did not open the bug, but I was in contact for other problems and the question has been submitted to the developers.
I am not the first to check this.

Oh, come on Andreas, he reported an obvious *problem* between two
versions - one works fine with his files, the other
(newest/latest/greatest) is dramatically slower... obviously *something*
*changed*, and *not* for the better.

No, he did not report anything at all. He just complains.
