Hello,

this has been pointed out a few times on the lists, and I just verified myself - we have inconsistent boilerplates.

Press Release:

"The Document Foundation has the mission of facilitating the evolution of the *OOo* Community into an open, meritocratic and democratic organization. An independent Foundation is a better reflection of the values of our contributors, users and supporters, and will enable a more inclusive, effective, efficient and transparent community. TDF will protect past investments by building on the achievements of the first decade, will encourage wide participation within the community, and will co-ordinate activity across the community."

Meta-Tags of TDF: "The Document Foundation has the mission of facilitating the evolution of the *LibreOffice* Community into a new, open, independent, and meritocratic organization over the next few months. An independent foundation is a better reflection of the values of our contributors, users and supporters, and will enable a more effective, efficient and transparent community. TDF will protect past investments by building on the achievements of the first decade, will encourage wide participation within the community, and will co-ordinate activity across the community."

Bullet Points at TDF: "It is an independent self-governing meritocratic Foundation, created by leading members of the *OpenOffice.org* Community." and "It continues to build on the foundation of ten years' dedicated work by the *OpenOffice.org* Community."

Shall we unify these?

Florian

Yes, these are different. If I remember correctly, the mention of OOo communities etc in these "affirmations" was at the early stages of the creation of the TDF/LibreOffice when the "movement" of communities was occurring. We should definitely re-align these.

Italy should weigh in on this, as these comments are really important as they define us and our relationship with OOo communities. Not sure how much this applies today with the ASF.

Cheers

Marc
