Hi Bjorn,

Your suggestion about using use cases as examples is good, as it is quite
abstract and sometimes hard to understand the way it is now. Though I
don't fully understand your two sentences ("to choose a Case format click
Format and get all the alternatives among other formatting options (Font,
Paragraph, Bullets, etc.)" and "to choose a Case format click Format and
then click Case to get all the alternatives".) But we have been discussing
these questions a lot - and these dimensions are hard to address! So we
are open for any suggestion here.

Here is another attempt, hope it will be clearer:
(-) Many information at all levels, but less levels (low menu deepness) →
Many menu items in few levels: E.g. choose Bold/Italic/Underline directly
under Format menu item. (More clutter, fewer clicks).
(-) Less information at all levels, but more levels (high menu depth) → Few
menu items in more levels: E.g. choose Bold/Italic/Underline from a
Character item under Format menu item. (Less clutter, more clicks).

and for another question:
(-) Pooled toolbar without separation of main menu and toolbar (Ribbons,
e.g. new versions of Microsoft Office since 2007 → Ribbon style toolbar
(like in MS-Office, version 2007 and onwards): Pooled toolbar without
separation of main menu and toolbar.
(-) Classic separation in main menu and toolbar (e.g. menu control in
LibreOffice) → A classic menu and set of toolbars (like in LibreOffice,
OpenOffice and old versions of MS-Office).

Generally the options should be as short as possible while still being
understandable :)

It occurred to me that the best way to express menu alternatives is by small
pictures.
Is it possible to link the text to small pictures (if technologically
possible, floating when the mouse is hoovering over the text, otherwise
simply a link to the picture)?

A sketch of such pictures, for the example above:

I have a couple clarification questions, regarding other items. Is it
possible to contact you directly?

I will also be happy to translate the questionnaire to Hebrew, if when and
how you'll think it's appropriate.

Cheers!
