Im running about 15 websites and their respective databases on an entry
level linode. 20 dollars for 48gb of space 1gb of ram and 8 vcpu's and
linux distro of choice. they also have ipv6 dns.

would you like me to setup the domains on their servers for you as i can
give you access to the manager just to manage your domains if you like.

I've only got one customer using PHP on my setup, it's nginx + php-fcgi
(no fpm, no point for a single wordpress instance) seems to run fine.

My main sites are all nginx + uwsgi + django, some with memchache output
caching and making good use of the CDN facilities available to me.

I run most stuff on Rackspace UK Cloud, just the lack of IPv6 nameservers
does irritate me occasionally.

So, lets see if I can redeem myself today.

Is there anything outside of the calls/what I wrote on the pad
regarding
the proposed transition to nginx that I missed?

Not really - The only service we run and that needs apache is
mirrorbrain (and that is on a different host than the other website
stuff, so no problem here). Askbot already runs producitve with nginx
from the very beginning, silverstripe works fine with nginx in the
testing-VMs, so does piwik. So the plone based sites and wiki have not
been explicitly tested, but as those are also basically just proxied
stuff (either to php or to zope), I don't expect a problem with those.

php-fpm works fine with the different pools,

ciao
Christian
