Agenda
======

 * slow git clone from https://gerrit.libreoffice.org
   ( https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice/2021-April/087214.html )
   + not critical but that's been a recurring issue for a while, it causes tbs to
     fails sometimes when they need to clone from scratch
   + not related to transport (git vs https), large downloads are affected too:
     dl-archive, dev-www, git+bibisect
   + for bibisect, plan is to move to a separate box at hetzner: rdm#3236
     - bibisect (when served by git-upload-pack not bundles) and gerrit compete
       for cpu cycles, want to use a dedicated box for each (each has its own
       needs in terms of cpu/io/storage) — blocking 7.0 being frozen (early
       june)
   + dev-www and (later) dl-archive can be be moved anytime
   + cloph: fyi don't order dedicated boxes last minute, fulfillment time is
     long at the moment
     - https://docs.hetzner.com/general/others/order-processing/
   + guilhem to do some research what offers are best suited for that and place
     order (not last minute)
   + devs upload to upload@dev-www, shared account but moving it to a dedicated
     host shouldn't be an issue
 * branch rename vs gerrit upgrade to 3.3
   + cloph: fine to do both independently, there won't be any rename in the next
     3 months
   + cloph: would be nice if the upgraded gerrit/jgit would give sym-refs
     (unclear)
   + guilhem to test the upgrade on the stage instance and schedule to prod
 * rdm#3518 Crashreporter/update of breakpad
   + cloph to upgrade breakpad on crashreport.lo (unclear if that helps) and
     LibreOffice (7.2 onwards)
 * AskBot migration
   + 20k questions (80k posts) sample done, pending feedback from moderators
   + estimation for a full import: 30h (excluding background sidekiq processes)
   + can maybe move it to hetzner at some point, but for the migration a low
     latency link is preferable
   + disabled PiTR for now
 * pending/in progress
   + mailing list import
   + firewall refactoring
   + node monitoring
 * PiTR (Brett)
   + it's disabled on synapse (it causes deadlocks for some reason) and vm222
     (for now — pending migration) but works quite well with etherpad (and
     discourse too)
   + want to practice recovery to make sure databases are recoverable modulo
     checkpoints
     - Brett: can do that on own machine, no need for dedicated vm/cluster
   + Brett: couldn't find a way to replicate asynchronously
   + guilhem: does synchronous replication add latency to transaction commits?
     - Brett: AFAIK barman only upload the wal log when it rotates
   + Brett: will try to find out why synapse deadlocks on own server
   + Brett: will upload changesets to gerrit when ready
 * Next call: May 18 at 16:30 UTC
