Having viewed your links, I think the Writer would be a better choice.

hope you are fine.

currently i am working on the layout of a calendar for the new year 2013 -
i want to create a diary to print it out.

well i found a template that was designed in calc


*question: *should / could i design a layout for the whole year with the
calc programme
or sould i use writer for it ...?
