Do you have the world NA logo in a large file?
Have it as a SVG file, so can produce any size needed
- One caveat, perhaps, I do not think of this as anything other then

While working on a new business card, using VistaPrint, I had the option
to have a shirt with the NA logo printed on it. I did not choose it
from them, but that gave me the thought of having that logo printed on a
shirt locally. If I do such a thing, I will need a larger image than I
currently have from you.
Yeah I saw that. We have rather eschewed discussion on business cards a
time or two it seems and continuing with the thoughts from above it
seems that your use here is the exception that proves the rule. The
business card is specifically yours and your connection to the NA disc
project is quite certain. In this case using the Community DVD globe
graphic makes perfect sense and a url for either the libreoffice.org
site or (maybe both) one to the north-america.libreofficebox.org site.
I'll send a properly sized, hi dpi, graphic, as I think that is the
question from above, yes?

I thought that since I was going to need more business cards, and my current ones promote both my list of free software and the Kiwanis Aktion Club of Elmira NY <http://www.aktionclub-elmira.org/> , it made sense that I add the LibreOffice info. I will be going around to many local businesses/organizations/etc. and dropping off copies of the NA DVD. My cat-mouse design is not one that works well for promoting business ideas like LibreOffice.

One of the major "businesses" I am hoping to include LibreOffice in their computer labs is the local School Districts. I may need to do a specialty DVD for that purpose. I want to promote the features that would be most useful for the teachers and students. Having an easy way to spell check Spanish, French, German, etc., in an English menu environment is one of the features that would be very useful. I do not remember any way to do that when I was working as a substitute teacher for one of the districts. Having the language teachers be able to spell check their Spanish handout assignments is an important feature in my option. Allowing the students to have that same ability in the computer labs is also something I would think is needed. With LibreOffice supporting all the languages taught in schools without incurring any extra costs like MSO would require, is a great marketing point.

There are also "English as a second language" programs locally at the library district and other organizations. Having a multi language environment could be important in the computer labs accessible for those students, or at lease letting the students know there is an office suite that may be able to support their native language[s]. I heard last night that in NYC there are over 800 languages spoken by the residents of that city. Well, at least LibreOffice supports over 100 of them.

As for the Globe Logo on a shirt, hat, or other item, there is always a need to do this type of passive promotion. Works well for other ideas and businesses. I have a few of these types of shirts myself for local businesses and non-profit organizations, including the Aktion Club's "who" are using my logo design. I use VistaPrint for my business cards, but I use http://www.queensboro.com/ as one of my sources for embroidered and/or printed items. Both companies have prices that work for my budget.

So having a NA logo [or LibreOffice logo] on a shirt, maybe a Polo shirt, might be a nice marketing tool for promoting LibreOffice. Wearing an embroidered polo shirt to a visit to a business, organization, agency, school, etc., would make the person look more "professional". I am not a suit and tie person, and I have only one black suit, so having a polo style shirt with or without the suit jacket would be "professional" looking to me. The question for that issue is; should the logo be promoting the NA project or use the LibreOffice logo to generically promote LibreOffice itself. Since I would be going in with handout NA DVDs, I do not really know which would be the best one to use.

The new card design shows the link to the LibreOffice-NA.US <http://libreoffice-na.us> site. As soon as the http://dvd.north-america.libreofficebox.org is ready for public use, then the .....NA.US site will have a promoted link to this new site. Once the ISO is ready, then there will be a direct link for that as well. The idea for the testing portal will be modified to include screen shots of the new DVD[s] and some more information about the NA project. It may have info stating that there are other localized projects, like Brazil's. I want to make sure people understand that the NA project is dedicated to their needs.

So when you are able, would you please send me that file for the NA Globe logo. SVG file is fine since I use Inkscape and GIMP.
