Hi :)
In Gedit (just a text-editor so it's not as fancy as Writer) when i do search it flags up all
occurences by giving them a yellow background.  The currently selected one has a grey background.
Since i know what i selected i can shrink the document so that i can barely see the tiny words.
Just their location is enough for me to see whether to let the replace happen or skip to the next
one.  I thought Writer would do roughly the same?

I agree it's a tad annoying if it doesn't automatically scroll to the next one when asked!

On Ubuntu 12.04 with a LO 3.5.4 from the repos (ie not an installed .deb from the TDF downloads
opage) it does scroll through just fine.  Have you tried renaming your user-profile to see if that
shakes it loose?
Regards from
Tom :)

Hello,

I have a window with Writer that is half the height of my screen.
I do a search & replace, but the text doesn't always move down in the
window to show the next occurrence of the word I'm searching for.
Quite annoying because either you scroll manually, or you say search (next)
and at the end start from the beginning again, till you have found all
occurrences of the word you want replaced.

Anybody to confirm this?
