Thanks for posting this and your inspiration and good will to work on
LibreOffice!

LibreOffice has a specific color palette used in the branding of LO.
There has been "talk" about the colors in branding LibreOffice's version
6.x.x. I would like to create a LibreOffice branding color set as a
palette, which would help users use only the branded colors, as needed.
Good idea... but isn't this palette already available in (at least) 5.4.x ?!
I have not looked into 5.4.x yet.
I seems that you are not aware of all details of the work that has been
done the past year(s) on this subject?
For that please see bug:

and

And in the mailing list archive over the design team (you're more then
welcome there) you will find this topic too.

What do you think?
Ciao,
Cor

I will look into those topics on the other lists.

Yes, I found out that the root system folders has the "palette" folder that I did not know about till after I sent the email.

I rarely do a "purge" install for LibreOffice, but I did it for the 5.3.5.2 install.

When I looked for the SOC files in the hidden ".config" folder, there were none there. At that point I found the in the "/opt/libreoffice5.3/share/palette" folder - since I looked for the .soc files.

I will compare the "/opt" LibreOffice color palette file with mine, so I can see the differences.

There was a new list of color palettes that I had never seen before. I saved them in a folder within the folder that has all my color palette working files. That way I can decide what color palette lists I want to work on.

I placed my "colors_gold-goldenrod.soc" into the hidden "/.config/libreoffice/4/user/config" folder. It works fine. So this is where I have placed most of my color palettes as I test them.

There are several large color palette lists, but for now, I will be working on smaller specialized lists - like the gold related colors.

One of the palettes is the list of the various levels of gray. I also want to find all of the other metal named colors like silver, copper, and others. Maybe find one similar to "ruby" for gemstones.
