...go on with doing this. Let me know tomorrow or the day after 
tomorrow, if things got at least better, so we can take appropriate 
action. Hopefully, the new captcha helps a lot.

You can only disable users, IMHO, but not delete them completely. (At 
least not without a separate extension.)
