I don't have any direct news either - but what I think makes sense, and
has for a while (time to get to it), is to put a little grid together
breaking down the items (pages - template packs - etc), with a status.

Today - I'm free from other work- so I'll use the wiki and post back
here as soon as that is in place.

Hi,
Just a quick note:

I made some progress - for the moment just putting this together as
separate grids for each language (DO NOT take the current status column
as accurate) on a temp page:

http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/User:Drew/na-dvd-status

So - I'll end up with a single gird perhaps when I'm done - but for now
that was already a good exercise as I found 4 items that need addressing
just in putting this together.

Beyond that however I have also been reading over the German teams
thoughts on a QA process - (and what they are doing with the latest
changes to the box dvd)..so will pull some of the QA stuff from the
German pages to the English.

@Tim - I'll be updating a few files on the libo-na server later today,
BTW, and will send you an email when I'm finished.

Thanks

Do you want to add something about

1] The OS version of the DVD
        English - Win/Linux/MaxOSX [3.2 GB ISO]
        English - Windows-only [1.4 GB ISO]

2] The Version of LibreOffice on the DVD
LibreOffice 3.3.2 install versions. 3.4 version will replace 3.3.2 when it is fully tested and released.

----

We are doing the three OS, but for many it would be better to have a Windows only version. We have to discussed that much, but it only need a few changes in a few HTML pages and the removal of the non-Windows files. It may need a little editing, but it is there waiting to be finalized and used.

Actually the Windows-only version might fit on those smaller sized DVD media that home 1.4 GB of data.

For the person who deal only with Windows may rather download the smaller ISO file.

Drew, Marc
You should have the FTP info to go and download the needed files/folders for the NA site so you can make the DVD on your systems. I hope that Drew will have links for both ISO files soon, so I can replace the testing pages for Win/Linux/MacOSX with screen shots. Then have the link to the ISO file[s], the Label[s], and for the insert and pamphlet. That way people will be able to download the ISO files, and related DVD stuff needed to make their own copy of the DVD. Also, at that point we could start the process for a print-on-demand service and/or some other way for users to order a pre-made copy for those that cannot download the ISO file[s] for whatever reasons.

Since the status of the paperwork is "finished", we should have the ISO file link[s] posted soon.

I may be right is saying that there are a few people out there who would like a copy of our NS project DVD for their own use or for possible inclusion in the handouts at one of the events coming up.
