Hi,

thanks for your answers, i'll try to add my backgrounds in the wiki's
list in a few days after transforming them into presentation templates
(and not merely static images). Do you have any recommandation about
this point ? I mean, I know the master page stuff but is there any rule
I should stick to ?

When changing color, should I generate another image or is there an
svg-like solution ?
When I edit the master pages of my presentations, I usualy just paste
the background image and make it fit the screen. Does this still work
when there are screen resolution changes between users ?

I don't have the time to participate on the project on a regular basis
right now but maybe I could keep on contributing at my rate.

Cheers,

Gaël

Hi Gaël,

Additionally, please feel free to look at:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/Presentation_Templates which has
the beginning structure of a working page for the Impress Backgrounds. I
started an effort to critique the current templates and propose a structure
to update the default templates to provide as many functional backgrounds as
possible. The work has been delayed but if you are interested in helping
please let us know.

Cheers,
Jaron

 Hi again,

Gael wrote in his first mail:
Please find attached some presentation backgrounds I've been making and
using in my presentation. Some are better than others, you might want to
start checking out "LightWave" or "colorUnite" first.

I personally like the ColorUnite (perhaps in lighter green and orange) and
Dashed versions most.

LightWave resembles me too much to OOo, Neuron and Rays might be
interesting for some special target groups.

We already thought about and started working on Impress templates - would
you like to join this effort?

If so, please read the thread starting with this mail:

If you feel comfortable here, stay and keep on contributing depending on
your time and interests - and if not, please tell us, what we could do
better...

Best regards

Bernhard
