Stuart,
Thanks for the URLs. I was just about to file a bug and this has pretty much saved me the trouble
of doing this.
I'd like to add one thing regarding how NVDA reads spreadsheet data. Some users may already be
aware of this but others who don't know this will drive themselves crazy even when trying to read
spreadsheets from programs such as Excel or OpenOffice Calc.
There are two settings which need to be enabled to ensure you'll hear both cell coordinates as well
as any data contained within a cell.
To enable these features, you need to access NVDA's document Settings dialog box. The quick way to
do this is to press ctrl-insert-D.
Alternatively, access the NVDA menu either by pressing insert-N or by right clicking it in the
notification area. Go to preferences, then open the document Formatting dialog box.
From within this dialog box, make sure that the items "report table row/column headers" and
"report table cell coordinates" are both checked.
Click OK and press enter.
To save these settings, either press insert-ctrl-C or go to the "save configuration" option from
within the NVDA menu.

For anyone following along, fyi...

The Windows Bug report is fdo#81098
<https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81098>
and the Linux Bug report is fdo#81264
<https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81264> , but they will
probably be merged.
