Thanks Sophie, exactly what I've had in mind!

But it's simply a screenshot of a very nice graphic someone
produced... This seems extremely draconian... do you think it's a very
important issue?

Yes, I do.

Let's state an example - we've created the temporary website team,
because you've asked the SC to avoid undesired / uncoordinated changes
on the website. As you care about the content to be harmonized, the
complete project has to care about how it is _perceived_ in the market.

Primarily, we have to earn trust by our users, supporters and also new
developers. Trust has to be earned - e.g. by providing a good product,
and behaving well (as a project!). This also has impact on our visual
message - since the web is currently our main communication channel.

That is the reason for establishing e.g. Branding Guideline / Tools, and
the Trademark Guidelines - not to put pressure on individual
contributors, but to enable to "talk to our users" in a market with IBM,
Microsoft, Oracle, ...

Unfortunately, it is not about if I like the graphic, but if TDF and
LibreOffice can be recognized well. And this _starts_ on it's own
website. The guy who made the graphic changed: the document symbol, the
location of the logo elements, the font spacing, the colors. And there
are mirror effects - the Branding Guidelines state "For example, neither
extreme coloring nor intensive surface shining effects are used." So I'd
say, no, not at all.

So yes, please remove it. If the license allows, I'm happy to add this
graphic to the marketing ideas section ... our community branding is
still to come, as well as input.

Cheers,
Christoph
