Hi everyone. I will try to make it short and to the point.

Yes on every count from Drew. We should have everything on the TDF servers and site. We should NOT be hosting any ISO or any site. We had specifically asked for help from the TDF-box and they kindly offered us help as well as server space.

I also believe that they also offered us help if/when we needed.

Cheers

The libreoffice-na.us site was started as a info site about the project and a place to test out the DVDs, like we need to do for the Spanish version.

The hosting of ISO issue and being able to have people get a DVD from somewhere is something we need to do.

We will be dealing with the "box" project, but we started out making a DVD that was dedicated to/for the needs of the people in North America. Are we going to give up the NA DVD project in favor of the "box" project?

Yes, I think we want to work with them to create an English version that is branded and such, and maybe work with them on a International English version. But their DVD lacked all the documentation and all the other add-ons and samples we have on ours. We have over 1 gig of stuff on our Win/Mac/Linux DVD that is not on the "box" DVD. I want to keep all those extras that make our project a more complete one, for the users I have dealt with. Also their project includes developer files and such, where the average [Windows] user could be confused by that or wonder why they have it on their personal, school, business, or government "user" DVD.

If we are finished with the Win/Mac/Linux DVD, and maybe the Win-only version, we should get the ISO file out there for download, with a link on the libreoffice-na.us front page. We could then have screen shots of the menus of the DVD[s] showing what is on, and such, our project's DVD. Then remove the testing links for those DVDs that are finished.

We then would have the ISO link, and links for the cover, label, pamphlet, insert, etc., for downloading so the "user" could have all they need to make their own DVDs at home for friends and family. We could also offer a way for them to "buy" a pre-made DVD. There are people that have slow or limited access accounts that would prefer getting a DVD instead of downloading the ISO file[s].
