A lot of icons in the have a color gradient in them (the Bold, Italics,
Underline icons, the Undo redo icons, Background Color icon, add more
buttons to the toolbar drop down button, etc). According to me, a color
gradient doesnt really serve a purpose. Instead, if these icons are
replaced by uniform colored ones, they would look much more sharper and
neat.

The Bold, Italics and Underline buttons are currently represented by text
"A" in the respective format. Will replacing it with text B, I, and U with
respective formatting be more intuitive?

Also, I personally feel that there is lot of unwanted color in the toolbar
icons. IMHO, I feel that the icons should be color neutral, and the number
of color be restricted to the bare minimum. having icons in Black will
again make the icons look sharp. This IMO will make the toolbars look much
more professional. Ofcourse, places which define text color, and background
color may remain colored, but elsewhere, color should be minimized. (This
is already implemented in the Print File Directly, Print Preview and Zoom
Icons, and they look sharp and good)

The left-align, right-align, justify, and center-align buttons indicate so
by having a page in the icon with lines representing the formatting. But
IMO the lines itself should be sufficient, and the page in the background
is a redundant element.
