確かに検索結果で見ると現状では圧倒的大差ですけど・・・

"コンテナーハウス":1,010
"コンテナハウス":185,000
"コンテナーに": 45,500
"コンテナに":1,010,000
"コンテナーを":53,600
"コンテナを":873,000

"コンポーネントコンテナー"で検索すると、マイクロソフト、レッドハット、IBMでの
使用例がみつかる
"免税コンテナー"と言う表記が関税事務所他でみつかる

などということもあり、今後は"コンテナー"の使用が増える可能性もありそうです
なので、"コンテナ"を例外扱いする必然性はそんなに強いですかねぇ?

長音表記すべき対象語のうち、1点だけ気になるものがあります。

 container コンテナ
もし "container" が容器・入れ物の概念で使用される語句なのであれば、現行の「コンテナ」のままで良いのでないかと感じました。
そう思う理由は、次のとおりです。
1. "container" のカタカナ表記が容器・入れ物の概念を示すものとして世間一般に認知されていると思われる。(例:
船舶、貨物列車に積載されるコンテナ、コンテナハウス)
2. "container" を表記・発音するとき、新聞、テレビ、また日常会話でも、「コンテナー」よりもむしろ「コンテナ」のほうが一般的に認知・使用されているのではないか。
3. (やや上記に重複するが)件の内閣告示でも、慣用による例外を認めている。「コンテナ」はこの例外に当てはまるのではないか。

よろしければ、ご検討ください。
