For me, it makes sense the other way round. Let us keep "template" here for
the wiki templates also as a category.
So we can refer to "templates" when talking about ODF-Templates for LO/OOo.

"Templates" is the plural form, so it does make sense to use it when
talking about a category, just as if we had a category of "Cars" or
"Houses".

Increased specificity with "ODF Templates" and "(Media)Wiki Templates"
seems like a reasonable compromise here.

I can not see any advantage in creating another category for the menus,
because the usage will still be "template" although the category might be
"menutemplate". Or am I wrong here?

To take one example, there are 20+ 'BugzAssHlp' templates. Putting
those into a sub-category would be a healthy cleanup :-)
