Hi,

I noticed that I just sent an e-mail to this list talking about Apache
OpenOffice, and I believe that some of you may find that a 'strange
topic' on a TDF mail list.

I would like to clarify that I'm working with both projects because I
believe that they will become 'one' sometime in the future. I also
believe that we have the chance to do the work at both projects with
the maximum amount of collaboration as possible, and to illustrate my
thoughts about that, I've wrote a blog post about the subject:
http://homembit.com/2011/06/what-i-think-about-apache-openofficeorg-an-invitation-to-the-collaborative-work.html

As it's written at the Brazilian government document that I signed
too, we care a lot to have a FLOSS Office Suite that is useful
Brazilian users, seeing that it is a key software to any FLOSS
migration strategy, so I'll do my best to avoid us (Apache and TDF)
doing things twice and wasting our scarce resources with useless
things.

Co-opetition is the key here, and I believe that we have market for
both products right now and in a near future. We also have a common
and hard-to-fight competitor on this race, and he is right now miles
ahead from both of us !

Best,

Jomar
