There is an option to avoid this problem if you don't want a nullable date:
Edit>Database>Advanced Options: Form data input checks for required
fields = OFF
Yes, I thought of that too, but still no joy. Never mind. I'll be using
something else in the not so distant future, I've had enough of fiddling
around with Base ODBs each time LO (or AOO gets updated).
