Hi all
Just to remid you that, Also all Debian, Ubuntu, Mint and other
deb-based Linux users can use this temporary repository, until
LibreOffice is included in main repos

1. Adding the repository:
sudo echo “deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/gericom/libreoffice
 /
#gericom@hummer” | tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list
2. Adding the signing key:
wget deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/gericom/gericom.asc -q -O- | sudo
apt-key add -
And finaly:

sudo apt-get update

Nikola,
Excellent Work!

I found the following useful for Debian Squeeze(testing) XFCE:
1.(altered) add the line to /etc/apt/sources.list (remove quotes)

"deb http://download.tuxfamily.org/gericom/libreoffice / "
(note: observe spaces around last slash '/')

2. same as above
3. sudo apt-get install libreoffice3
installs libreoffice (meta package?) and picks up dependencies

However, the libreoffice3 package didn't install the debian-menus deb
archive.
I must be missing something about apt-get usage as I had to manually
downloaded the deb archive and perform a "dpkg -i [file].deb" on it.

And presto - libreoffice is in my menus under "Office" [Yeah!]

The only problem I found was when I started the base program I received a
n
error message about:
"...missing vcl resource. This indicates that files vital to localization
are missing. You might have a corrupt installation."

Any suggestions as to how I can convince apt to use "en-us" when my
computer is using "en-ca"? Or should I just download the available en-us
LibO deb files?
