Hi Camille,

I've received pictures from both System76 and ZaReason. Both companies
were very polite and quite happy to help us out, and could provide
more material if needed -- such a pleasant exchange!

Great :-)
Ideally, we would need to have those under :
http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/
Would that be possible?

I can ask the companies if we may use the images under those licensing
terms. Any reason why something like CC-BY wouldn't work?

What's the next step here? (the images total about 30MB)

Once you get the proper licence, uploaded them somewhere easily accessible
by all: like wikimedia as Fabian suggested, or the libreoffice wiki.

I'd suggest the libreoffice wiki, as it's a resource that the project
controls. Wikimedia is less of a repository and more an active
commons.

Is the Libreoffice wiki the preferred location for source media, or is
there some kind of in-house repository for such things? I saw
klaus-jürgen ask for some additional pieces as SVG, and wondered if
all these media assets might be easier to manage in some structure
with subdirectories.
