Bij de vertaling in Pootle van de UI kom ik een een suggestie tegen
waarin het Engelse woord asset vertaald wordt met activum (het
Latijnse enkelvoud van activa, neem ik aan). Ik kende het woord niet,
wel activa, en vraag me toch af of bezit(ting) of waardepapier - de
context suggereert dat het daarom gaat - geen beter vertaling is.
Het hangt erg van de context af. In een computeromgeving zou het ook om
beschikbaar geheugen, schijfruimte, rekentijd of andere middelen kunnen
gaan.

De Engelse tekst is:
probability that an asset will at maturity end up between two barrier levels,
assuming it follows dS/S = mu dt + vol dW (if the last two optional parameters
(strike, put/call) are specified, the probability of S_T in [strike, upper
barrier] for a call and S_T in [lower barrier, strike] for a put will be
returned)
Het gaat, vanwege put en call, kennelijk om een beurstransactie.
